Crocheted cotton thread, steel nails, quote by Emanuele Coccia
Is there any reason to fear death if it does not mark the end of life, but rather a transformation of its form?
In this work, Eva incorporates a sentence from Emanuele Coccia's Metamorphoses: “All death is a continuation of life with a new face.” By isolating and emphasizing each word, the artwork invites viewers to consider death as a transition rather than an end. It opens a space for personal reflection, where life is seen not as confined to a single form but as an evolving process.
The piece explores the beauty in existing for a limited time in one form while continuing infinitely through others, challenging our understanding of life's impermanence and encouraging an acceptance of the eternal cycle of transformation.
